Terms of Use

Effective date: June 30, 2026

Acceptance

By using ScriptCat, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app or related hosted services.

What ScriptCat Does

ScriptCat helps creators draft short video scripts, hooks, captions, titles, hashtags, shot notes, production checklists, series ideas, read-mode text, and exportable content. It is a creative productivity tool, not a guarantee of publishing performance, views, revenue, or audience growth.

Your Content and Responsibility

You are responsible for the ideas, prompts, profile details, scripts, captions, notes, and other content you enter, generate, edit, export, publish, or submit through ScriptCat.

You should review generated content before using it. Do not rely on ScriptCat as your only check for accuracy, legality, platform policy, advertising claims, professional advice, or brand safety.

Permission to Operate the App

You keep the rights you have in your own content. You give ScriptCat permission to store, display, process, transform, and export your content as needed to provide the app features you use. If a build is configured with an external AI script service and you grant consent, brief data may be sent to that configured service to generate script content.

Acceptable Use

Hosted Support and Related Services

ScriptCat may provide hosted pages for privacy, terms, and support. The support form stores submissions for later review and does not require an account or sign-in. A submitted support request does not guarantee a specific response time or outcome.

Availability and Changes

ScriptCat may change, pause, remove, or update features over time. The app and related hosted services may not always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device, operating system, or third-party service.

No Warranty

ScriptCat is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent allowed by law, no warranties are made about the app, generated content, hosted pages, or support form.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, ScriptCat is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost content, lost audience growth, or publishing outcomes related to your use of the app.
